Introduction
- This document sets out the Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) governing participation in MEFIT Summit 2025 (“the Event”), organized by [Organizer Name], applicable to all participants, attendees, exhibitors, speakers, staff, volunteers, and service providers (“you,” “your”).
- The Event will be held in the United Arab Emirates and is subject to UAE federal and emirate laws, including but not limited to the UAE Civil Code, Consumer Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 15 of 2020), and applicable health and safety regulations.
Event Registration & Participation
- Registration constitutes acceptance of these T&C. If you do not agree with any term, do not register or participate.
- The organizer reserves the right to refuse entry or registration at their sole discretion (e.g. for behavior contrary to T&C or non-compliance with safety or health protocols).
Tickets, Fees & 0% Refund Policy
- All fees are specified in the Event materials.
- No refunds will be issued under any circumstance, including cancellation by you, no-show, or partial attendance.
- Tickets are strictly non-transferable and non-exchangeable. Any attempted resale, transfer, or reassignment may render the ticket void without refund.
- Under UAE Consumer Protection Law, refunds may be mandated if the event is canceled or materially changed by the organizer (e.g. change of venue, date, content). In such cases, the organizer will notify you promptly and may offer alternatives (credits or rescheduling) at their discretion.
Cancellation or Changes to the Event
- The organizer reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the Event or any part thereof due to force majeure (e.g., adverse weather, government restrictions, pandemics, emergencies).
- The organizer also reserves the right to make changes to the Event program, schedule, or sessions at any time without prior notice.
- In such cases, the organizer will make reasonable efforts to notify participants. No refunds will be offered unless required by UAE law.
Safety, Liability & Health
- You participate in the Event at your own risk. You must ensure you are medically fit to participate and are responsible for your own health and safety.
- You agree to comply with all health, safety, and security protocols imposed by the organizers, venue, local authorities, or emergency services.
- The organizer, sponsors, partners, or venue shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage to person or property arising from participation, whether caused by negligence or not, unless resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- You are encouraged to maintain personal insurance coverage (e.g., health, travel, personal liability).
Code of Conduct
- You must abide by the Event’s code of conduct at all times-respecting others, preventing harassment, and adhering to the rules set by the venue or organizer.
- The organizer reserves the right to remove, refuse access to, or terminate the participation of anyone breaching this code, without compensation or refund.
Media Release & Photography/Videography Consent
- You consent to the use of your image, likeness, voice, and/or performance captured in photographs, videos, recordings, or other media produced during the Event (“Media”), by the organizer and affiliated parties, for any lawful purpose (e.g., promotion, social media, website) worldwide, perpetually, royalty-free.
- You waive any right to inspect or approve such uses and release the organizer and affiliated parties from claims related to use of the Media.
Intellectual Property Rights (IP)
- All materials, trademarks, logos, presentations, and content provided during the Event are the property of the organizer or their respective owners. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
- Recording or live-streaming of sessions is prohibited unless explicitly permitted.
Privacy & Data Protection
- The organizer processes your personal data for registration, communication, marketing, operational, and legal purposes. Processing is governed by applicable UAE data protection laws.
- By registering, you consent to this data usage. You can review the Organizer’s Privacy Policy for details on retention, rights, and contact information.
Public Health Protocols
- You may be required to present proof of vaccination, a negative test, or health declaration, comply with mask-wearing or screening procedures.
- Refusal to comply may result in denial of access or removal, without refund.
Third-Party Services & Links
- The organizer may provide information or access to third-party services (e.g., accommodation, transportation). These are not under organizer control, and you engage at your own risk. The organizer disclaims responsibility for loss or damage connected to such third parties.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- These T&C are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the applicable Emirate (e.g., Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism regulations).
- Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved via mutual negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be exclusively referred to the competent court of the relevant Emirate, in the Arabic language.
Severability
- If any provision of these T&C is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.
Amendments
- The organizer may update these T&C at any time. Amendments will be published on the Event website or communicated via email; they become effective immediately upon posting.
