Jumping into plyometrics – A flexible programming model.png

The introduction of safe jumping protocols should be a training goal for everyone, none more so than athletes. Sports are unique, and require that reactive power be produced in unpredictable, time sensitive environments from different positions in various directions. Sports related tasks and skills will be enhanced through an athletes increased ability to evoke the elastic properties of muscle fibers and supporting connective tissues when it matters the most. This workshop will provide a simplistic overview of how to categorize all jumps and balance the training loads for clients of all levels.

Periodization – An Athletic Model.png

Periodization is about time management, the structure and division of a training program into different phases with specific outcomes. The aim of this process is to ensure a balance of work and rest exists to maximize the training response for clients. In the athletic arena there is rarely a complete solution with athletes having to contend with so many other competing demands. This presentation will discuss the realities of athletic preparation and provide an understanding into how to use the NASM-OPT Model to enhance the adaptive potential and performance for all clients.

Agility Ability – The Development of Game Speed (1).png

Agility and change of direction training are probably the most underserved elements within most client’s programs. We build strength, stability and mobility in our clients and then never let them feel or express it through movement. Agility drills and the associated skill development builds rhythm, timing, and dynamic stability. These are important qualities for everyone and should receive more consideration. Sports require the speedy and reactive application of offensive and defensive movements and postures which can be enhanced through deliberate agility-based practice. Come learn, play and move!
